Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Gaitor collects when you visit gaitor.app, why
we collect it, who else processes it, and how to reach us. The Gaitor mobile and
web apps are covered by a separate in-product privacy notice.
Data we collect
- Cookieless analytics. We use PostHog in cookieless mode to count page views, button clicks, and scroll depth. No cookies are set and no cross-session identifier is stored on your device until you opt in. We do not fingerprint your browser.
- Email. If you email us at hello@gaitor.app or support@gaitor.app, we keep your message and reply so we can support you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request metadata (IP, user-agent, timestamp) for short-term abuse and reliability investigations.
Third-party processors
- PostHog — product analytics, EU region. Used to understand how the marketing site is used in aggregate.
- AWS — hosting (S3, CloudFront) in
eu-west-1, plus access logs. - Neon — managed PostgreSQL. Only used by the Gaitor app at
my.gaitor.app; the marketing site does not write to a database.
Cookies
The marketing site sets no cookies by default. If you opt in to analytics, a single PostHog cookie is set so we can deduplicate sessions. See the Cookies page for the full list.
Data retention
- Analytics events: 12 months, then aggregated and the raw event deleted.
- Email correspondence: kept until both parties consider the matter closed, then deleted within 12 months.
- Server access logs: 30 days.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email hello@gaitor.app and we will respond within 30 days.
